Alexandra B. Jara

Overview

Alexandra Jara focuses on civil litigation, handling matters from early case evaluation through trial preparation. She regularly supports strategic decision-making at every stage of litigation, including discovery, motion practice, deposition preparation, and case resolution. Alexandra is known for her detail-oriented, organized approach to complex matters and for working closely with clients and litigation teams to manage cases efficiently and effectively. She has a particular interest in motion strategy and persuasive legal writing.

Alexandra graduated summa cum laude from Western State College of Law and received the Maryann Jones Achievement & Leadership award. During law school, Alexandra demonstrated strong leadership and advocacy skills. She served as Managing and Articles Editor of her law review, where she oversaw the publication process and worked closely with authors and editorial boards. Alexandra also competed in national moot court competitions, sharpening her oral advocacy and legal writing abilities. In addition, she held executive leadership roles as President of the Latinx Law Student Association and Vice President of the Student Bar Association, positions in which she advocated for student engagement, professional development, and community representation.

Alexandra further gained valuable judicial insight while clerking for the Honorable Isabel Apkarian of the Orange County Superior Court, where she assisted with legal research, drafting, and courtroom proceedings.

Outside of her legal practice, Alexandra remains actively involved in the legal community. She serves as a Trustee of the Mexican American Bar Association and is a member of the New Lawyers Committee of the Latina Lawyers Bar Association, reflecting her continued commitment to mentorship, leadership, and advancing diversity within the legal profession.
