Amy Maclear is a Co-Founder of Narain Maclear LLP. Her practice is focused on high-stakes automotive litigation, where she defends manufacturers and mobility companies in complex consumer, mass-tort, and product-related actions in both state and federal courts.

Amy regularly serves as coordinating counsel for automotive manufacturers, managing multi-firm defense teams and developing litigation strategies to control exposure across high-volume dockets involving alleged defects. Her experience includes class actions and all variations of product liability claims.

In addition to her automotive work, Amy has extensive experience defending mobility-platform providers in high-profile personal injury matters and complex commercial disputes, including fraud and fiduciary-duty claims involving significant punitive-damages exposure. Her practice is defined by strategic discipline, aggressive motion practice, and trial-ready case development.

Before co-founding Narain Maclear, Amy was a partner at Shook, Hardy & Bacon LLP and Gordon & Rees LLP, where she built a reputation as a pragmatic, results-driven litigator trusted by clients to handle their most challenging matters. She brings to every case a direct, no-nonsense approach grounded in deep industry knowledge and real courtroom experience.

Amy is also committed to the legal community and to developing the next generation of lawyers. She devotes significant time to pro bono work, including assisting families in adoption matters and supporting civil-justice initiatives. Amy is actively involved in programs designed to help first-generation college and law students navigate the professional and legal worlds, and she regularly serves as a judge for mock-trial competitions at both the undergraduate and law-school levels.
